Can you do this to a house that is already built?
Almost always. Most smart kit fits into the wiring you have, and a typical home is done in a day or two.

What happens when the internet drops?
The core still works. We design the important things to run locally, so a bad connection never locks you out of your own lights.
Is it worth it, honestly?
For lighting and climate in a building you use daily, usually yes. For a flat you rarely occupy, probably not, and we will say so.
